Now that we've pretty much tackled the master bedroom, I'm itching to move forward and redo the guest bedroom. It's the farthest room in the house and right now it doesn't feel very cozy. It feels so dark and I will definitely be painting to lighten everything up (even though I haaate painting). I've already decided on Sherwin Williams Repose Gray. Paint colors are always the hardest part, so in a way I feel like my work is done! HA. It's a safe choice, and I think it will match nicely with the rest of our home. I also already have a rug I can build off of. I don't LOVE it, but rugs are expensive and we're on a budget! So it will work for now... I plan to keep the striped headboard and recover it, and I also plan to use the gray/white duvet. Here's what the guest bedroom looked like from the previous owners, and how it looks right now. As you can see, very dark and very in need of some love.
I'm not entirely sure the direction I want to go, but here are a few things I'm pulling inspiration from. Based on the photos I'm drawn to, I would say I'm going for the gray / white / blue look! I really want everything to feel very cozy and relaxed, so that when guest stay, they feel comfortable and at home.
What do you think? Any suggestions / tips for me?
