Weird Thoughts on Blogging
Truthfully, I don't even know why I share these things sometimes. In the last few years the internet has become totally saturated with all things home decor, outfit ideas, recipes, DIY projects... all of which I'm sure I don't need to tell you about. I often feel, why would anyone even want to read this when there are so many other voices out there? So why do we do it? What is the appeal to blogging? The appeal to share a random weekly outfit? For vanity? For attention?
Honestly? I share hoping that someone, somewhere may find a little encouragement in my mostly mundane everyday life (and maybe just an idea of what to wear to work tomorrow). While it may seem that I project a "better than" version of myself (and sometimes I do, cue edited photos) my life is really quite simple & average. And maybe that's why we do it. Maybe in those simple & average moments we share, we find someone along the way that can relate. So I think I'll keep on sharing. Because every post is an opportunity to find a kindred spirit, even through a post about an outfit for work.
Do you feel like your voice doesn't matter? Like no one will pay attention? Well it does matter and if you've been desiring to use that voice, now is the time! I would love for you to comment with your blog or social media below!
