Peppermint, Lavender, & Chamomile Bath Soak

Taking a bath is the ultimate relaxation for me. I like to light candles, cue up my meditation playlist, and pretend I'm at the spa. I dream of one day having a home with a deep claw-foot tub in front of huge windows that look out over the deserted woods. One day.

Fancy bath salts don't hurt the atmosphere either. I am really enjoying using essential oils (see this post from F&F) and add them to almost everything. For this concoction I used Dr. Teal's Chamomile Epsom Salt Soaking Solution and added about 20 drops each of peppermint and lavender essential oil. Epsom salt is fantastic for relieving muscle aches and pains, eliminating toxins from the body, and easing stress. The chamomile in this solution helps calm the body and mind. Peppermint cools the body and lavender helps relieve anxiety and can promote sleep. Peppermint and lavender are my go-to oils to cure any ailment.

Just add a cup or two of salts to a warm, running bath then soak for 20 minutes! You can also exfoliate by gently massaging salts onto dry skin and washing away with warm water. Be sure to drink a large glass of water after soaking to replenish the body.
